“I turtley love you”

“I turtley love you" is the message on the side of this adorable mug. I (Karen, The Turtlesinger) like my caffeine via tea or chocolate, and it’s probably no surprise that we have a number of turtle mugs!

This one is one of my favorites—a gift from my younger brother Hal and his wife: thanks, Hal and Kitty: we turtley love you, too!

“The hurrier I go…
the behinder I get!”

The saying above is what’s written on this turtle mug. Turtles—although some real, live turtles like the softshell turtle featured in our September 26th blog, can move incredibly fast—are often great reminders of that other famous turtle line: slow and steady wins the race!

Mugging for National Coffee Day

I love this diminutive turtle mug. I think its partner mug with a fish on it belongs to my fishing enthusiast brother, Hal.

2 are better than 1

Finally, we leave you with a couple of turtle mugs.

The one on the right I bought in nearby Stone Harbor. I also love buying turtle Christmas ornaments in Stone Harbor! Seashore Ace Hardware store and the Hoy’s store always have lots of fun turtle items for sale, as does the The Wetlands Institute gift shop down the road on Stone Harbor Boulevard.

We hope you enjoy a cup of coffee (or whatever your favorite beverage) in honor of National Coffee Day today!

Thanks as always for reading.
