You Can Color Rocky!

The picture you saw to get here showed our little folded sheet Turtlesinger coloring book which we sell for 50 cent donations at various events. Every year, The Remsterville Learning Center in Bridgeton, New Jersey, orders 85 of these coloring books to hand out to their preschoolers after our show.

Here’s Rocky’s picture for you to color on National Coloring Day!

You Can Color Gracie, Too!

There’s no mistaking that this is Gracie’s actual outline from a photograph (as all of these coloring pictures are) because it includes the indentation of her upper shell (or “carapace”—the bottom of the shell is called the “plastron”). Gracie’s indented shell was caused by a genetic birth defect: so, all of her siblings had the same shell deformity when they hatched, too. Gracie’s shell deformity may have been the reason she had difficulty laying her very first egg. However, the eggs have come out just fine ever since then, and the shell deformity has smoothed out some as she has grown.

Blue Ribbon Winner: Big Black Bart!

We included Big Black Bart’s blue ribbon to color for his outline, although we encourage children to color it any color they want.

Bart has won multiple blue ribbons for different events, as well as white and red ribbons.

We’ve never come up with a Spike outline to color, but to see a common snapping picture to color, SCROLL DOWN…

Color Your Own Snapping Turtle!

This is not an outline of Spike, but it IS a snapping turtle you can color. To make this common snapping turtle picture look like Spike, you would have to add longer, definitive spikes on the neck and head, as well as make the head larger and the nose more pointed.

At our annual Snapper Day, Spike is always a live snapping turtle star, and we hand out these free snapping turtle coloring sheets—as well as Spike stickers!

Coloring books for adults can be found online filled with only turtles to color.

Thanks for celebrating National Coloring Day with us in a turtle way! Thanks as always for reading, too.
