Big Black Turkey Bart

Bart not only wore this outfit for the Ocean City Quiet Festival, but won a live tortoise and the hare race while wearing it that day!

Big Black Bart is not as black as he used to be, and he is getting browner with age. Someday we may be changing his name and calling him Big Brown Bart!

Bart, Rocky and Gracie will be feasting on fresh blueberries for their Thanksgiving treat, while Spike will get some salmon!

Real Turkey

This proud fellow lived at the former Leaming’s Run Gardens in Swainton, New Jersey.

We used to love visiting the farmyard animals there--as well as box turtles, painted turtles, snapping turtles--and of course, the beautiful gardens.

Tom Turkey

We couldn't resist showing you this turkey again in full display mode, with all colors flying!

It's just a different perspective from his profile shot above.

Massachusetts Turkeys

Our cousin Sandy sent us this video from Plymouth, Massachusetts: how appropriate for Thanksgiving!

Thank you, Sandy!

It was taken this spring, so these young turkeys must be all grown up by now.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our turtle turkeys and wild turkeys, and that you have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.

Thanks as always for reading!
