Turtle Santa in Profile

We love these little Christmas rubber turtles.

They may actually be squirt guns, although we’ve never used them for that!

We bring them out every Christmas.

They measure approximately 3 inches high by 3 inches wide by 4 inches long.

Victorian Christmas Turtle!

Maybe this is a caroler Christmas turtle. He must be, to live in the Turtlesinger’s house!

We sang Christmas carols in full Victorian costume with a quartet for 7 years throughout Victorian Cape May and southern New Jersey—and even at the former Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

Charlie had a hat just like the one this turtle is wearing, even down to the holly on the rim!

For the 3rd in our series of little rubber Christmas turtles, SCROLL DOWN…

Reindeer Turtle!

He must be Rudolph, because he has a red nose…

…Although the previous Victorian caroler turtle had a red nose, too…

…Must be from all the Christmas caroling outdoors!

We sold Christmas turtles just like these one year at Christmas Turtlesinger events.

For a shot of the whole gang, SCROLL DOWN…

A Trio of Christmas Turtles!

These turtles live on our fireplace mantel at Christmas time.

Speaking of our fireplace mantel...

A Christmas Orange…

Here is Charlie’s stocking (we still hang the one our nephews made for us so many years ago, which is why the glitter letters have faded)—and Gracie’s stocking! Gracie received her stocking from a box turtle named Harry from Pennsylvania. Word has it Harry is head-over-heels in love with Gracie!

My mother told of how it was always an incredibly special treat to receive an orange in her Christmas stocking. Here we have an orange for Charlie…as well as a mandarin orange for Gracie! Gracie absolutely loves them, and will devour her Christmas treat.

Finally, for a closeup of Gracie’s stocking and her own stocking-size mandarin orange, SCROLL DOWN…

Gracie’s Christmas Stocking

Gracie would be equally delighted if her stocking were filled with blueberries, turtle chow, reptomins, cantaloupe, peaches, strawberries, raspberries or blackberries!

We hope to be able to share at least a few more Christmas turtles with you before Christmas.

Thanks so much as always for reading!
